About Me

Hi, I’m Grace. As a mom of two young boys, ages 2 and 8 months, I know how scary water can be. Im passionate about safety, I traveled to Florida for two months to become ISR certified because I couldn't find local options. I’m proud to be the only certified ISR instructor in Wisconsin, dedicated to giving your children life-saving skills.

What Are ISR Lessons?

ISR (Infant Swimming Resource) lessons are one-on-one survival swimming lessons designed to give infants and young children the skills to respond if they unexpectedly find themselves in the water.

Unlike traditional swim lessons, ISR focuses first on survival. Depending on your child’s age and developmental abilities, they learn to independently roll onto their back to float, rest, and breathe, or to complete the full Swim-Float-Swim sequence to reach a point of safety.

Lessons are just 10 minutes a day, Monday–Friday, allowing skills to be built gradually through consistent, individualized instruction.

The goal goes beyond learning how to swim. It’s about giving your child confidence, independence, and an additional layer of protection around water—while giving parents greater peace of mind.

Parent FAQs

What exactly is ISR?

ISR (Infant Swimming Resource) is a global leader in survival swimming. It teaches infants and toddlers life-saving skills to survive an accidental water entry.

What ages do you work with?

We work with children ages 6 months to 6 years. Skills are tailored to their specific developmental stage and physical ability.

How long are the lessons?

Lessons are 10 minutes long, scheduled Monday through Friday. Consistency is key for building muscle memory and confidence in young learners.

Is crying normal or safe?

Crying is a normal way for pre-verbal children to communicate frustration. It is safe, and we work gently to build trust and skill quickly.

What should we bring?

Bring three towels, a reusable swim diaper, and a change of clothes. Ensure your child hasn't eaten for at least 1.5 - 2 hours before the lesson.

How long to learn survival?

Most children learn basic survival skills within a 6-week session. Every child is an individual and learns at their own unique pace.
